Photosynthesis(Light) Arafa, Raafat [1]. Lactiferous glands metabolic productions of Gemmaz, an Egyptian folkloric plant. Key words- "Gemmaz" Ficus sycomorus', Moraceae, Plant latex, antibacterial activity and metabolic production. Abstract The crude latex were biologically examined against some bacterial strains as Escherichia coli, Staphylococus species, Klepsilla species, Salmonella species, Proteus species and Sarcina species. Only, the latex showed activity against Staphylococus and Klepsilla species. The metabolic production of the lactiferous glands were investigated using GC/MS analysis and identified as Beta-Amyrin (C30H50O), Olean-12-ene (C30H50), Alpha-Amyrin (C30H50O), Beta-Amyrin trimethylsilyl ether (C33H58O Si), Olean-12-ene (C31H52O), Squaline (C30H50), 1-Naphthalene propanol (C20H34O), Tricycloheptane (C15H24), D-Norandrostanal (C20H32O2) and Larixone (C20H32O2).
