This study presents investigations into the morphological, anatomical and ecological features of Erodium sibthopianum Boiss. (Geraniaceae) an endemic species which was collected from the Turkey. In the morphological study, The morphological differences were compared with the Flora of Turkey and morphological charactersitics of the plant are given in detail and demonstrated by illustrations. In the anatomical studies, the anatomy was examined by examining transversal sections of the stem and leaf and also surfacial sections of the leaf and demonstrated by illustrations and taking microphotographs. Leaves are bifacial and amphistomatic and they have amaryllis type stomata. In the ecological studies, This plant was observed to generally prefer clayey-loamy-sanded, slight acid soils, not calcarous, containing very rich of organic matter, being rich or very rich in nitrogen, deficient in phosphorus and rich in potassium. They grow on nonsaline soils. Log in to add this item to your schedule
