Taxonomic studies of vicia.spp in Iran.

The genus Vicia L. (Papilionaceaeo)with 150 species is one of the most important Legumes that is found as food, weeds, forage, fertilizer and sometimes ornamental.
About 46 species of vicia is mentioned in the recources for Iran.In this paper,at first we recognized more than 700 herbarium and desert specimen of 40 vicia species which we could get from Iran.Of course investigation and gathering this specimen dissolved most of the taxonomic contortion of this genus. Results of the taxonomic research proposed four sections, including a complete description and recognition key for them. Then numerical taxonomy were conducted to find the proximity of species. Dendrogram confirmed the relationship among the classified species in this research.. Besides in practice, integrated specimen in desert and herbarium studies were measured and analyzed .In taxonomic research, 40 Vicia species were studied and recognized perfectly; the situation of Vicia bithynica was determined; studies and measurements of taxonomic characters, matrix, dendrogram, species relationship, racemose analysis, and numerical taxonomy confirm classification.Distribution of each 40 taxa of vicia in Iran was studied ,chart and map of each taxa distribution was drowned . Six species of Vicia are endemic: V. iranica, V. kotchyana, V. venulosa, V. sojakii, V. aucheri, and V. rechinger
